  • Should I replace my underlay when installing new carpet?

It’s a great idea to replace the underlay when installing a new carpet! New underlay makes your carpet feel even more comfortable and helps it last longer.

  • What types of carpets are best for high-traffic areas?

For high-traffic areas, low or medium pile carpets are a great choice! They’re super durable, can handle lots of foot traffic, and are less likely to show footprints. Plus, they’re  easier to keep clean and looking great.

  • What types of flooring are best for homes with pets?

If you have pets, you'll probably want flooring that's tough, scratch-resistant, and easy to clean. Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) and laminate flooring are great options because they’re durable and low-maintenance. Laminate and LVT can handle the wear and tear from pets and are super easy to look after!

  • What do I need to do before the flooring fitting date?

To make the installation process as smooth as possible, it's best to have rooms cleared of furniture (but don’t worry – we can give you a quote to help with this if needed). Please also ensure any pictures or items are removed from the walls, and that there’s easy access to the area we’ll be working in. The old flooring should be lifted, and the room should be swept or vacuumed, ready for your new flooring to be laid (again, we can quote for lifting and disposing of your old flooring if you'd like us to handle that). Also, make sure any decoration or paintwork has had enough time to fully dry and set. Let us know if you need help with any of these steps!

  • Can vinyl flooring be installed in bathrooms and kitchens?

Of course! Vinyl flooring is a fantastic choice for bathrooms and kitchens because it's water-resistant and super easy to clean. Unlike wood or laminate, vinyl won’t warp or swell when exposed to moisture, making it the perfect option for these high-humidity areas.

  • How do I choose between LVT and laminate flooring for my home?

When choosing between LVT and laminate flooring, think about the room's purpose and moisture levels. For high-moisture areas like kitchens and bathrooms, LVT is a great choice. But for spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, or hallways, laminate is a stylish and budget-friendly option. Both types come in plenty of designs to match your style!
